Holi Festival, Rangoli or Dhulendi (Dhulati)
March 27 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm EDT
Holi is based on the Hindu lunar calendar and is different every year in India. For most of the country, Holi is celebrated at the end of winter, around the full moon in March. On the full moon night (Holi eve), large bonfires are lit to mark the occasion and burn evil spirits. The next day people throw colored powder and water on each other. Holi is often called the “Festival of Colors.”
