Who Is This Man, Frank Hague?
February 11 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm EST
Few names loom as large in Jersey City history as Frank Hague, who served as Mayor for 30 years and was the all-powerful political boss of Hudson County. But despite an outsized public profile, he remains in many ways an enigma. Featuring oral histories recorded in the 1980s and interviews with contemporary scholars, this program introduces a more nuanced view of the man whose reputation was solely defined by his enemies for many years.
Presented in conjunction with the Museum of Jersey City History at the Apple Tree House as preview to the upcoming Exhibition on Frank Hague and His Times.
[Rescheduled from September 2022]
